Skoda electric cars Discover the electric Skoda range and compare new and leasing deals
In the market for an EV and like the value, space and quality Skoda has become known for? Well, you’re in luck, as while there might only be one electric Skoda, it’s available in four different guises and with two battery-pack sizes. And the even battery news is that the Enyaq – the only electric Skoda - is one of the more convincing and easy-to-live-with EVs on the market.
Electric Skoda car models: current range
Although the Enyaq is the only electric car Skoda offers, the breadth of models available means you’re likely to be able to find just the right specification for you.
Skoda Enyaq
The Skoda Enyaq competes with models like the Nissan Ariya and Ford Mustang Mach-E, so it’s a mid-sized SUV that’s perfect for families. Both the front and rear seats are impressively spacious, the 585-litre boot should be able to swallow just about everything you throw at it, and interior quality is genuinely impressive. And, despite being a relatively large model, the Enyaq doesn’t feel big to drive, being easy to manoeuvre and having great visibility. It’s impressively refined and comfortable, too. The 60 kiloWatt hour battery version can cover up to 246 miles on a charge, while the 80 kWh model officially does 339 miles for an extra £4,000 or so.
Skoda Enyaq vRS
vRS is Skoda’s in-house performance division, and if you go for the Enyaq vRS you sacrifice a little battery range (321 Vs 339 miles) for a little more power, with the vRS offering 299hp against the standard Enyaq 80’s 265hp output. Four-wheel drive comes as standard, too.
Skoda Enyaq Coupe
If you like the idea of the Enyaq but would prefer to have just a smidge more panache with your ever-so-sensible EV SUV, the Enyaq Coupe is well worth a look. The Coupe can’t be had with the smaller ‘60’ battery that’s available with the standard Enyaq so its starting price is a little higher, and while the 570-litre boot is 15 litres down on its sibling, rear headroom isn’t too badly impacted by the Coupe’s sloping rear.
Skoda Enyaq Coupe vRS
As you might expect, the Enyaq Coupe vRS adds the four-wheel-drive vRS formula to the sleeker of the two Enyaq bodystyles, bringing improved performance together with sleeker lines. It’s priced from a little over £54,000, and can manage up to 325 miles on a charge, while also getting from 0-62mph in a brisk 6.5 seconds.
