Peugeot certainly wasn’t the first manufacturer to the electric car party, but it hasn’t been hanging about in playing catch-up. The firm currently offers no fewer than four Peugeot electric cars, and there’s little doubt that more Peugeot electric models will be on the way. Here’s our guide to the company’s current electric range.

Electric Peugeot cars: current range

Peugeot e-208

If you’re looking for a small and affordable electric car, the Peugeot e-208 is a great place to start. Like all other 208s, it looks great inside and out and it's quite good fun to drive, although space is a wee bit tight in the rear seats. The electric 208’s theoretical maximum range of 248 miles - increased thanks to a larger 54kWh battery being introduced in 2023 -  is very competitive with most cars of its type, too.

Peugeot e-2008

Like the package offered by the e-208, but fancy some SUV style? Well, that’s precisely what the e-2008 gives you. The stylish interior feels high in quality and well-stocked with equipment, and although passenger space isn’t much more generous than in the 208, you do get a bigger boot. It’s almost identical for driving range, too, despite being slightly bigger.

Peugeot e-Rifter

The e-Rifter is a good family car, with loads of interior space regardless of which of the two length options you choose, and whether you have it with five- or seven seats. The sliding rear doors make it easy to get in and out of, too. However, the interior is a bit drab and the maximum range of 172 miles isn’t the best.

Peugeot e-Traveller

Need an electric car that can take up to nine people? Then the Peugeot e-Traveller has you covered. It’s quite obviously based on a van, meaning excellent interior space, even if it also means patchy interior quality. The 148-mile theoretical range (probably more like 100 in the real world) won’t be enough for some, either.
