The Trend starts the Ford Fiesta range with 16-inch alloy wheels and LED daytime running lights. Rear privacy glass is included, as is manual air conditioning and safety features such as lane-keeping assistance and automatic headlights.

Titanium models get 16-inch alloy wheels and lots of kit compared to cars lower in the range. That includes an 8.8-inch infotainment screen with fully integrated sat-nav (and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto), climate control, cruise control, keyless start, auto wipers and a 4.2-inch digital display in the instrument binnacle.

ST-Line is a sporty trim level that’s worth consideration if you want to get the best out of the Fiesta’s excellent handling. Kit includes 17-inch alloy wheels, sports suspension and a sporty body kit with a mesh grille that makes the Fiesta look more aggressive. You also get a 6.5-inch colour display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone mirroring systems, sports seats, a flat-bottomed steering wheel, sports pedals, air-conditioning and keyless start.

The Fiesta Active might be the choice for you if you live an, err, active lifestyle. This raises the Fiesta’s ride height a little as well as adds some rugged styling upgrades. Being a Ford, you’ll also get a heated windscreen as standard which is perfect for those freezing winter mornings.

Titanium X models bridge the gap between the normal range and the relatively luxurious Vignale model. They get rear electric windows (on five-door models), part-leather seats, a heated steering wheel, keyless entry and go, a reversing camera and a super-powerful 675W B&O stereo.

ST-Line X models get the same sporty kit as ST-Line cars plus some additional equipment. As a result, they come with 17-inch alloy wheels, sports suspension and a sporty body kit with a mesh grille that gives the Fiesta sportier looks. Kit includes an alarm, a 8.8-inch colour display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone mirroring systems, sports seats, a flat-bottomed steering wheel, sports pedals, climate control, part-leather seats and keyless start.

Active X models get the same styling as Active 1 models – including the raised suspension, revised bodystyling, roof rails, and 17-inch alloy wheels – but gain rear parking sensors, a reversing camera, automatic wipers, and keyless go. You also get partial leather seats, cruise control, climate control, traffic sign recognition, and even illuminated cupholders. Infotainment also gets an upgrade to an eight-inch touchscreen with sat-nav and smartphone connectivity.
