New Mazda 2 price and specs
The facelifted Mazda 2 starts from £18,615, and there are four trim levels available. You can choose between Centre-Line, Homura, Exclusive-Line and Homura AKA.
Basic Centre-Line cars are still generously equipped. Your £18,615 gets you 15-inch alloy wheels, climate control, cruise control and an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Step up to the Homura and you’ll be parting with £19,825. Splashing the extra cash gets you larger 16-inch alloys, red trim accents on the seats, power-folding door mirrors and a reversing camera.
Exclusive-Line models start from £20,365, and for this you get gloss-black dashboard trim, autonomous emergency braking, rear privacy glass and keyless entry.
If you’re feeling fancy, the top-spec Homura AKA model gets diamond-cut alloy wheels, half-leather seats, a contrasting black roof and electric rear windows. Go for this trim and you’ll be parting with £21,365, unless you check out the savings available through carwow.
New Mazda 2 design
The Mazda 2 has been given some subtle styling changes to keep it looking fresh in 2023, however the overall design has stayed the same.
Up front you get a slightly re-shaped grille, and you can have it finished in body colour on certain models. The headlights have been given the nip-and-tuck treatment as well.
There’s not much to report down the side. You have a choice of 15-inch alloys on the base model, rising to 16-inches on the higher trim levels. The rear of the car remains the same as before.
New Mazda 2 engines
The Mazda 2 is available with a 1.5-litre petrol engine in various states of tune. The basic car has 90hp, then there’s a 90hp mild hybrid model and top-of-the-range cars can be had with a 115hp engine.
As was the case for the previous Mazda 2, this new one is available with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox.
