The best Hyundai models coming by 2025: all you need to know
August 04, 2023 by Jamie Edkins
Car changing is a big deal
Hyundai really shook things up with the Ioniq 5 back in 2021, and the new Ioniq 6 saloon is just as space-aged. So what’s next for the Korean brand? Read on to find out.
Best new Hyundai models coming in 2023
New Hyundai Ioniq 5 N
The new Hyundai Ioniq 5 N was revealed at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, and it’s the first all-electric car to wear the sporty N badge.
It’s fitted with dual-motors putting out 650hp, and it has a racey bodykit to help it stand out against the standard Ioniq 5. Inside, you get a unique steering wheel, as well as some bucket seats.
Expect this new electric hot hatch to go on sale later this year, with prices likely to start from around £60,000.
New Hyundai Santa Fe
The new Hyundai Santa Fe has been revealed, and this seven-seat SUV has been given a radical makeover compared to the outgoing car. It has an all-new exterior design, as well as a more luxurious interior.
It’s a much more boxy design than before, with an upright grille and square headlights. The interior is dominated by a massive screen which blends the digital driver’s display and the infotainment system in one piece of glass.
Full details on the new Hyundai Santa Fe are expected in August, including engine specs. Sales of this new car are likely to start in 2024.
New Hyundai i10
The Hyundai i10 is getting a facelift later this year, and the dinky city car gets tweaked styling and new interior trim options.
You now get digital instruments with a 4.2-inch screen in the middle, as well as an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android auto. The 1.0-litre and 1.2-litre petrol engines are likely to carry over, and a starting price of around £16,000 is to be expected.
New Hyundai Kona and Kona Electric
The all-new Hyundai Kona was revealed earlier this year, and this midsize SUV gets a radical new design inspired by the SEVEN concept from a couple of years ago.
Unlike a lot of cars, the Kona is designed as an electric car first with the option to fit it with an internal combustion engine. The Kona Electric has up to 304 miles of range and 218hp, and a selection of 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre engines is likely as well.
The interior draws inspiration from the Hyundai Ioniq 6, and the new Kona will be revealed in full in the coming months.
New Hyundai i20
Hyundai’s small hatchback has received an update, making it more aggressive-looking while adding new kit inside as well.
It gets a slimmer grille and new alloy wheel designs, as well as funky colour options like this fetching lime green. You get a digital driver’s display as standard, as well as a 10.25-inch touchscreen and optional Bose sound system.
Arriving in the autumn, the i20 will cost around £20,000 and have the same turbocharged petrol engine options as the previous version.
New Hyundai Models coming in 2024
New Hyundai RN22e concept
The Hyundai RN22e is a concept car which showcases what high-performance Hyundai EVs will be like in years to come. The design is based on the new Hyundai Ioniq 6, however the technology in this prototype may debut next year in a Hyundai Ioniq 5 N.
It has the same 77.4kWh battery as the Ioniq 6, feeding two electric motors sending power to all four wheels. Hyundai hasn’t said how much power, however it’s likely to be similar to the 585hp Kia EV6 GT.
Hyundai hasn’t confirmed if the RN22e will go on sale in it’s current form, however it could lay the foundations for the future Hyundai Ioniq 5 N. This could be revealed as early as next year, and an Ioniq 6 N saloon could come further down the line.
New Hyundai Ioniq 7
Inspired by the SEVEN concept from 2021, the Ioniq 7 will be the large SUV in Hyundai’s electric car line-up. Seen testing, it will likely feature the same platform as the Ioniq 5 and goes up against the BMW iX and Audi Q8 e-tron.
Camouflaged when tested on the road, we haven’t had the best look at the production model – but you can expect it to have pixel-like lights and bold styling.

It should come with the same motors as the other Ioniq models – the 5 and 6 – so expect it to have upwards of 250hp and a range around 300 miles. As it’s in testing currently, it will debut in 2024 starting around £50,000.
