Alfa Romeo has just confirmed a new small SUV which is coming in 2025, and it’ll be the first model from the Italian brand to be offered as a pure EV. Read on for all you need to know.

Alfa Romeo will be revealing its first ever pure EV in April next year, and it’ll be called the Milano in tribute to the brands’ home town.
This alternative to cars like the Peugeot 2008 and Vauxhall Mokka will also be available with petrol engines, and it could share parts with the Jeep Avenger.
New Alfa Romeo Milano coming in 2024
Alfa Romeo will whip the covers off the new Milano in April next year, with sales of this new small SUV likely to start shortly after. It’ss be around the same size as the Jeep Avenger, and it’s likely to share parts with that car.
It’s also likely to cost around the same as the Avenger, so expect a starting price of around £24,000 for the petrol model and around £35,000 for the EV.
New Alfa Romeo Milano design
While Alfa Romeo hasn’t revealed an official image of the Milano, a few leaked images have appeared online showing what could be this new SUV.

You can see the classic Alfa triangular grille up front, as well as some sleek C-shaped headlights. There’s also some aggressive-looking vents in the lower bumper. The blurry rear shot also revealed some thin LED tail lights.
New Alfa Romeo Milano engines and motors
Nothing has been officially announced in terms of power options for the Milano, other than the fact it’ll be available in both petrol and all-electric guise. It’s a safe bet that a lot of parts will come from other models in the Stellantis family.
Being around the same size as a Jeep Avenger, you can expect to see similar specs under the skin on the all-electric version. That car has a 54kWh battery with a 156hp electric motor, and it has up to 248 miles of range.
As for the petrol model, it would be a shock if it didn’t have the 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine from cars like the Peugeot 2008 and Vauxhall Mokka under the bonnet. The Avenger uses the 100hp version of this unit, paired with a six-speed manual gearbox.
