Premium paint - Interstellar Grey
Free
Everyone goes for grey or silver these days, but Kia’s Interstellar grey is a pleasing take on the default colour choice for many. It helps that the EV6’s styling looks good in pretty much any colour, but this is not a grey that makes things bland and uninteresting. It’s a very good choice.

Premium paint - Midnight black
Free
As with the white option, you might be thinking that black is just that — plain black. Again, though, the EV6 comes with a very rich, deep black that has hints of purple when it’s caught by bright sunlight. It’s a colour that adds a bit of menace to the EV6’s already muscular shape, although it does tend to disguise some of the neat little design touches.
Solid - Runway Red
Free
Being a solid paint, Runway Red doesn't have quite the same sparkly dazzle as the Kia EV6's metallic paint options, though it's still a colour we reckon is worth considering. The bold hue suits the car's sporty looks (especially on the more aggressively-styled GT-Line models), and Runway Red has the perk of being the only no-cost colour you can spec on the Kia EV6. It isn't the best at hiding road grime marks, though, so factor on frequent washes if you want this paint to keep looking at its best.
Premium paint - White pearl
£675
Paying extra for white might seem like paying too much for something plain, but the EV6’s white option is a proper premium paint. It’s a pearlescent finish, which comes with a genuinely deep lustre and which actually suits the EV6’s low-slung lines. Pair it with the optional dark-finished 19-inch alloys for the best effect.
Premium paint - Yacht blue
£675
Yacht Blue is a premium paint choice and it's not available on the entry-level car, but if you have the option it's probably our pick of the bunch. This is a dark blue that has a really sophisticated edge and looks great in sunlight.
Matt paint - Steel matte grey
£1,500
Steel grey is the only matt paint finish on the Kia EV6 - whereas a metallic colour will sparkle in bright sunlight, a matt one will have a more uniform sheen across it instead. This makes Steel grey stand out in the Kia's colour options list, and the paint's finish help accentuate the car's bodywork curves and creases. Be aware that matt paint finishes require more maintenance than most other car paints to keep looking factory fresh, and you'll need to fork out for the range-topping EV6 GT if you want your EV6 in this particular colour.
